3-2-1 Julie & Aaron

I thought I would try something new with weddings on the blog. I want to show our absolute favorite six images from each wedding, in a 3 - 2 - 1 layout. So, here are our faves from Julie and Aaron:

Playing Hooky at the Zoo

Since we had to work everyday of the holiday weekend we decided to play hooky on Wednesday and take the kids to the St Louis Zoo so they could see the dinosaurs. Yes, all summer there are dinosaurs at the zoo. We met up with Matt and his family there for a great time.
Brennen & Cameran loved seeing all the dinosaurs, Emmy wasn't too sure about them.
Brennen thought the dinos were the coolest things. I guess I know what his first birthday theme is going to be!
Matt's little girl enjoying the beautiful day!
Watch out, this one spits!
You have to be careful, some of the dinos like to bite!
Mila was mesmerized by the dinos.
I think Brennen made a new friend.

The Garrett Family

If you haven't guessed by now, most of the portrait sessions we do are a direct result of past wedding clients. So is the case of the Garrett family. We did Gina and Ken's wedding a few years ago and now their family has grown by one! The whole family got together for a new family portrait. We went to their beautiful home for some nice outdoor portraits.
Here are a few faves:

I think this is my absolute favorite!

Julie and Aaron are Married

Julie and Aaron were married this past Saturday in Alton. The Wedding was held at the gorgeous College Ave Presbyterian Church and the reception was at The Commons on the Lewis and Clark College campus. We had to play a little cat and mouse game with the rain while we tried to get pre-ceremony pictures, but I think we won!
Here are a few faves from the day:
You know I love shoes! I absolutely adored Julie's clear ones!
The rings. Julie's are so tiny compared to Aaron's!
The flowers were stunning! The florist is out of Medora, her name is Susan Rule and I highly recommend her!
Julie in all her radiance. Her dress was absolutely gorgeous, from the Ultimate Bride!
All the girls were great, and I loved their dresses!
Aaron looking very handsome.
The men straight out of a magazine.
After the ceremony the party began on the "Party Bus" from Country Club Limos. We met up with the group at Lewis and Clark College for some fun pics.
The cake was very elegant. I think one of the latest trend is the initial as a cake topper, which we love. We always try to incorporate it somehow with the rings.
And so the part continued well into the night!

Stay tuned for 3-2-1, our top picks from Julie and Aaron's wedding.
Julie and Aaron, Thanks so much for letting us be a part of your day, we had a great time!

Cousins, Friends

I have to play a little catch up today, we had a very busy weekend, wet as it was! First up is Bryce with his cousins, Abby and Luke. Coby went out to Bryce's grandparent's house for a quick 3 month session with his cousin's and the family dog. I think these 3 kids are going to be great friends as they grow up!
Abby did a great job holding the boys and keeping them a little entertained. Bryce and Luke worked hard at being bright eyed!

The Dana Tote

I am so excited to announce that Gina Alexander is carrying a new tote bag! It is called the Dana Tote and it is only $60! Of course, I knew as soon as I saw it that I just had to get one. Coby ordered it for me today and this is what it is going to look like:
This is one of my absolute favorite images of the kids. It truly captures who they are! I can't wait until it comes in, and I am sure that I will be showing it off a lot. Let me know if you are interested in getting your own Dana Tote.

Fun Commercial Shoot

So, the whole reason we were up in the Chicagoland area was for a commercial shoot for Harrison and Company. They sell furniture, toys, and educational materials to schools, daycares, etc. We did another shoot for them awhile back and I absolutely love everything they sell! I would love to send my children to a school that has some of these things. I wonder if I can change the playroom in the studio to look like some of these sets.

This is the Art Center. This was very cool, and I think the kids enjoyed it.
The Mirrored Tent was a big hit with Brennen! It took him a little while to realize he could see himself everywhere in it.
Here are the models! The owner of the company wanted to do a nice parting shot, we came up with a few different ideas. This is just one of them.
We had such a great time, all the kids were very easy to work with, and we always love meeting new friends!
