Emmy's 1st Day of School

I can hardly believe that my little girl is in pre-school. She absolutely loves it! In fact she wakes up every morning extra early asking if it is time for school!

A little cake smashing

The other day we did we did two cake smashing sessions, one with Mila and one with Brennen. I think the both did a great job. These are for a promotion we are running with The Grapevine. If you purchase a birthday crown from The Grapevine you can schedule a free 20 minute cake smashing session with us. The crowns are adorable and they have a wide variety. Cake not included.

More CMAX Buzz

Last week The Alton Telegraph interviewed us for an article about our business. I think the article turned out great and you can check it out on their website or get your copy on Tuesday. The article focuses on our style, and the fact that we just shot the cover and fashion spread for St Louis Bride Magazine.
I am reposting the video that shows Coby and I in action, check it out and don't forget to check out the article and the magazine.

Nick is a Senior

We met Nick and his family at Rebecca and Joe's wedding last year. Nick's mom and sister were members of the wedding party and I must say that his mom had us cracking up most of the day!
It is amazing how much Nick has changed in just over a year. He is a handsome young man who has a bright future ahead of him.
Coby met up with Nick at his house for a few pics as he goes into his senior year of high school. Here are just a few faves from his session:

A Very Quick Trip to Arizona

Last week Coby and his dad helped his brother move to Arizona. They did some pretty hard driving, but still managed to have a little fun along the way.
A quick stop in Roswell, the whole town is crawling with aliens!
This is an inside joke thing.
The lizard was faster than Coby.
White Sands Park, bro with girlfriend.

Mila celebrates her 1st Birthday!

Last weekend we helped Mila celebrate her first birthday! Of course we brought our camera and shot a few:

Chip boy, Matt.
Mila knew exactly what to do with the cake!
Mila went straight to the bath after this shot was taken.
Happy Birthday, Mila!

Olympics and a Promotion

Olympics -
I get very excited when the Olympics come around! How could you not, especially when you have the great athletes that we do. So far the absolute best has been watching the men's swim team; Lezak, Hansen, Jones, and Phelps, win the gold over France. In case you missed it, France started some trash talk and Lezak answered with a win of .08 seconds!!!

I am sending good vibes to Michael Phelps to be the only man in history to win 8 gold medals at one Olympics. Two down, six more to go!

I am closely watching the men's and women's beach volleyball teams. The women are rockin'!! And the men are smashing the competition.

Don't forget the new Dream Team in Basketball. They crushed China yesterday!

Promotion -
As a little tribute to our great athletes competing in the Olympics we are running 20% off our Canvas Gallery Wraps, all sizes. Say you saw it on the blog.

Neely & Chris: The Reception

Finally, here are the pics from Neely and Chris' Reception. We actually tried something different at Neely and Chris' wedding, called the Instant Gratification Show. What is it? Just like the name implies, we take a few images from the preparation, ceremony and in between fashiony stuff and put together a slide show to have at the reception.
Ask us about it and maybe we can set one up for your wedding.

Now on to a few faves from Neely and Chris' reception:
And you know, a wedding by CMAX would not be complete without a little Painting with Light!
Neely and Chris, Thank You for letting us be a part of your special day! We had a great time!

We Won! We Won! We Won!!!!

I can hardly contain myself! We just got the word that we won an International Contest!!! The name of the contest was called Simply Shameless and was put on by Simply Canvas, the premier canvas gallery wrap company in the industry. It was open to photographers from all over the world, and Simply Canvas told us it was a unanimous decision!
We were asked to do what ever we thought was shameless to an image, yet keep it still looking good. Creative minds were working overtime!
A special thanks has to go out to Laurie and Keith, our models, and our 9 year old son, Cameran, who got the creative juices started. I also want to send a special thanks to Matt, our hand model!
Keep your eye out, we will soon be running a Simply Canvas Special!!
Here is the winning image:

Neely and Chris are married!

As hot as it was last Saturday we still had an awesome time at Neely and Chris's wedding. I feel as none of us really paid any attention as to how hot it was that day, because we were all having such a great time. The church, St. Bernard's in Albers, was absolutely beautiful, all the girls were stunningly gorgeous, and the guys were handsome and very easy going.
Here are a few faves from the day:

We met up with Neely and the girls at the cabins in Hidden Lake Winery. Neely's cabin came with a heart shaped Jacuzzi tub!
I got some great getting ready shots at the cabin while Coby met up with the guys at the church.
Once the girls were ready we headed over to the church for a few pics before the ceremony.
After the ceremony there was a balloon release as Neely and Chris got into a magnificent pink convertible Thunderbird! We LOVE when couples have old cars as the get-a-way! This one belonged to a family friend.
After the ceremony it was back to the winery for some fun, sexy, and romantic pics.
Stay tuned for pics from the reception and, of course, some painting with light.
