Check it out - St. Louis Bride Magazine!

We are very excited to announce that we shot the cover and main spread for St. Louis Bride Magazine! When the editor and publisher approached us about doing a spread that was a little edgy and very different we were ecstatic! This is totally our style!!

The shoot took place at the abandoned Blustein Bride House in St. Louis, four floors of run down fun!

I just can't say enough about how excited we were to do the shoot and to work with some amazing people. Besides having the editor and art director of St Louis Bride Mag, we also worked with Amanda Willson who did an excellent job on the models hair and make-up. Rachael McCalla from Lucky You Productions was there coordinating the shoot so that everything ran smooth.
We also had some of the best models, Rachael and Lynette!
We brought along Michael from GTV Wedding Films to catch us in action, stay tuned for the video.
Here is a sneak peek, if you want to see more you have to go get the magazine, or stop by the studio.

The Contributors, us (of course), Amanda, and Rachael.
This is our ad in the magazine, our awesome bride Laurie!
A small blurb about the cover.
The opening spread.

We also did a few pics at Simply Elegant Bridal, which is right around the corner.
The Parting Shot was done at night in the ally next to the Bride House. If you didn't guess, it is Painting with Light!

Sarah & Adam are married!

Sarah and Adam were married last week at St. John Methodist in Edwardsville with the reception following at The Commons at Lewis and Clark Community College. Even though it threatened rain, it ended up being a gorgeous day!

Without further ado:

Sarah got ready in one of the preschool rooms at the church. I couldn't help playing a little with the legos.
I loved all the details on her dress.
Sarah was just glowing!
The flower girl, Sarah's niece, really loved to ham it up for the camera.
The ring bearer wasn't to bad in front of the camera either!
The new MR and MRS!
Poppers celebrating the new couple.
The church had this awesome wall, that I knew we just had to do something with!
Out to Glazebrook Park for a few pics with the wedding party.
Stylin'
We love getting the couple alone for some romantic portraits. It wasn't too hard to get Sarah and Adam to be romantic!
Showing off the bling!
At the reception we love to get a little creative with the rings.
Once again we got to work with one of our favorite Djs, STL DJ Entertainment.
Men and their cigars.
Stay tuned for 3-2-1, our faves from Sarah and Adam's wedding.

Sarah and Adam, Thank you for letting us be a part of your day. Congratulations!!

What's the difference?

We get asked all the time what is the difference between "Painting with Light" and not. Well, the best way I can tell you is just to show you. Thanks to Caitlin for giving us the idea of taking two pictures, one with Painting with Light and one without.
Check it out, let me know what you think.
This image was done with a normal exposure

Lauren is 2 weeks

We love when the tiny babies come into the studio! ( Not so much that we want another one!) I had the pleasure of taking these of Lauren a few days ago. It was a trick getting Lauren to be happy, but she definitely quiets down when she sees mom.
Here are a few faves:

Ava and Grant

Coby had the pleasure of meeting Ava and Grant out at Lewis and Clark Community College for some fun pictures. It is alway great to do outdoor sessions with the kids because I think they are a little more relaxed.
Ava shops at my favorite store, The Grapevine!
