Every once in a while we get an inquiry about doing a model shoot. We love doing model shoots! They are a ton of fun and we can get as crazy or as tame as you want. We also do model comp cards. Envision - Women in Art, Design & Wellness

Elmhurst’s First Annual ENVISION- Women in Art, Design & Wellness: A Market Place to Shop, Enrich, & Nourish will be held at the newly renovated landmark Wilder Mansion on Friday March 4 and Saturday March 5. Shop for one of a kind jewelry, handbags, fashion clothing, fiber, glass, paintings, unique kids clothing; Enrich yourself with wellness experts, and Nourish with food.

On Friday March 4 from 4-10pm, the Mansion will be hosting a benefit for “Dare to Dream: Get Educated! (a young Latino girls organization to inspire them to stay in school. Tickets are $15 ( reservations) or $20 (at the door). Guests will receive one glass of wine and appetizers. Saturday, March 5 from 10am-5pm tickets are $5 at the door.

This is the last pine cone picture for now. Most of the snow had melted yet Brennen and I were able to find enough to set the pine cones for this picture. Do not think this is the last time you will see the pine cones. Brennen insisted we bring them home with us and use them again, so stay tuned.

The next picture in the pine cone series. I really enjoy involving the kids in creating art and this was no exception. This particular pine cone was one of Brennen's favorites from the ones he collected this day.

On a rare warm day I took the kids to the park. While we were at the park, my little guy Brennen started collecting pine cones. So I asked him to help me set them up and take some pictures of them. Brennen really enjoyed being a part of creating art. Check back tomorrow for another pine cone art pic.

Charlotte 6 Months

Another cutie pie's 6 month session. I really love this age because babies discover how many different facial expressions they can make, and Charlotte was no exception. Another thing she discovered was her tongue. Editing this session was cracking me up with how many different was Charlotte could stick out her tongue. I also must say that mom and dad better watch out with this beauty!

6 month old Will

A true little cutie.Will already has so much personality. I just love watching families grow, and Will's family is no exception. We photographed Will's parents wedding a few years ago, and we were very excited when they called us and told us they had a little boy. Will is part of our "baby's first year" package, so you will be seeing him again.

Thinking Spring!

I know I have been slacking on the daily picture. I am still in a winter blues mode. Today was a warm day, but dreary so I decided to post one of my favorite flower pictures. I also thought it was appropriate for February. Think Spring!

I have been having a case of the winter blues, so I decided to run a special to try and over come the blues. This weekend only we will set up 20 minute mini sessions for $50. The images will be placed in an online gallery and there will be a 20% discount for orders placed within one week of teh gallery going online.

Today was the first day that I felt human again. The snow was falling again today and there was a slight warm-up which caused some of the snow on the house to melt onto the holly bushes below. I caught this shot of icicles on the holly leaves with me phone.

Artist Gallery Opening

My sister is having a gallery opening this Friday in Elmhurst and I wanted to encourage everyone to attend. She is a very talented artist and I promise you will not be disappointed.

The Love of Recyclable Art

Elmhurst, IL. Glitch Gallery will be displaying and selling the original Recyclable Art of Donna Castellanos, Elmhurst resident, who is an annual participant of "Art in the Park". Stop by to meet the mixed media artist on Friday evening February 11th from 7-10pm. The first 25 people who arrive will receive a little piece of heART from the artist's unique collection.

Flight 112 Wine House will also be a host to live music and complimentary champagne from 8:30-10pm. Enjoy their $5 food and wine menu. Flight 112 and Glitch Gallery who are part of the Mecca2 Building in downtown Elmhurst support the arts in Elmhurst by hosting openings of local artist's work. I am still sick and it is really bumming me out. Today we had about another 3 or 4 inches of fresh snow fall and I am stuck in the house. So once again I am posting a picture that was taken a few days ago. This image was shot by Coby. I love the look of the snow with the glass house and the ice that has formed in the windows.

I have been pretty sick the last couple of days so today's pic is one I took while we were out shooting Emmy's pictures.

Emmy - Snow Princess

As soon as the snow stopped and the sun decided to poke it's head out after the blizzard we took our little snow princess out for a quick photo shoot. I layerd her up with 4 shirts, tights, leggings and jeans. I am so proud of her, she really hammed it up for the camera and became a perfect model. Another pic from the blizzard of 2011. I have always loved cat tails, and to see them poking through the freshly fallen snow, well I could not resist taken their pic. I trudged my way through the snow to get the shot. At times the snow was up to my thigh!

From the blizzard of 2011. This pic is out my back door and shows just how deep the snow was. It reminds me of the blizzard of 1979 when my brothers and sisters were able to build tunnels in the backyard.
