Shanika & Justin Get Married

Last Saturday we had the pleasure of spending the day with Shanika and Justin. We have waited a long time for their big day, they booked us over a year ago! The ceremony was held at the beautiful Trinity Lutheran Church in Soulard, and the reception was at Windows On Washington. They couldn't have asked for a better day, the temp was in the 70's! We had a great time and a lot of fun with this crazy group of friends. Following are a few of our favs:

For their get-a-way car the rented a convertible Audi from Bammarito.

Shanika and Justin were good sports and let us take them into the alley behind the church. I think some of my favorite images are from here.

Still in the alley, we played a little with the fact that Shanika is a huge runner.

After we left the church we headed over to Forest Park. What we didn't realize was the the Great Balloon Race took off at 4:00, the same time we were trying to make our way to the park! Shanika and a couple of the groomsmen sweet talked the police officers into letting us into the park. I think we got some great results!

Once we were in the park we took advantage of as many places as we could, such as the History Museum.

Next stop was the Grand Basin right at sunset.

We are big fans of Dale Chihuly, so of course we had to get a few pictures of Shanika with some of the glass. This was actually while she was getting her dress bustled right before the reception.

The cake was by McArthur's and the flowers were by Special Event.

I just love this first dance shot! I have to give a huge shout to the DJ of the night, CJ's Disc Jockey. He was great to work with and really knew how to get the people grooving on the dance floor!
